Jasmine Milk Tea, Fresh Milk Jasmine Tea, and Passionfruit Tea from Honey Boba. I was skeptical about the difference between Jasmine Milk Tea and the Fresh Milk Jasmine Tea, but there is actually a difference! The Fresh Milk Jasmine Tea does seem “fresher”. I honestly don’t know how else to put this into describable words.

Unf. Great to be back in LA. Also greeted warmly by a thick layer of smog. I feel privileged to be able to breathe fresh, clean air back in Davis. However, the food makes up for it and I gladly accept. Home at last.

Boiling pt drinks: passionfruit green tea and strawberry slush. I remember when I worked at a boba shop, writing orders down was interesting because I would abbreviate everything so it would fit in a small orderpad. A small boba green milk tea would be “S GMT +B”. And sometimes I still catch myself writing it out like that.

Boiling Pt. in San Gabriel! So much nicer than the one in Arcadia and Hacienda. A great dinner after 8 hours of sitting in a cramped car.

Honey boba! I’ve never been here before honestly. I’m actually surprised it’s still open. Its location was cursed for a while because no restaurant survived for more than a year. I remember Jodi Maroni’s (spelling check on that), Cherry Lips, Rock N Roll Teriyaki, etc. and they all pretty much failed. But this place broke the curse and is still going strong after 2 years! Their drinks aren’t too bad I must admit. Their boba is pretty soft and the drinks well made. I hope they last!

So after eating tons of good food today, the only one I decided to capture was my tap express order LOL. I haven’t had their spicy fries in a long time. I felt daring so I tried their medium spicy, but it’s not as spicy as I remember. What happened to that flaming sensation I usually get that brings tears to my eyes and a desire to fling my tongue into an ice cold jug of water? I was disappointed but my digestive system was breathing a sigh of relief.

The foods of Cafe Maji

Cafe Maji. Finally went there after promising my friend I’d wait till she came back from Boston to go visit. It’s randomly located on the 2nd floor of the Fitness Center down on Duarte (Arcadia)…The place is ridiculously cute. You’re basically paying for the ambience. The food is alright and the drinks are pretty, but tasteless. It’s an experience definitely, but not worth the buck.
